Interests and influences

Recently back from a trip to Budapest, Vienna and Prague. All cities which had had their glory days before WW1 in the days of the Austro-Hungarian empire. So Viennnese Secessionist buildings abound and there is a solid bourgeois feeling about them all three cities. Solid maybe, but indeniably attractive and getting more so as the memories of Communist occupations fade.

From a photographer's perspective not so easy to grab a few spectacular images that haven't been covered before, particularly when you are only there for a day or two.

But then, that is part of what photography is all about - capturing a unique moment in time. And at least I was able to do that.
